CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - CLOSED

The AAG Scientific Conference Committee invites submissions of abstracts for presentation at the 55th AAG Conference. 

We welcome abstracts from anyone with an interest in ageing, including researchers, educators, aged care and health practitioners, policy makers, students, consumer advocates and other experts who are interested in better understanding the nature of ageing, and improving the lives of older people.

In addition to reports of empirical research findings, submissions presenting ideas, critical reflections or case studies from practice, policy or the lived experienced are also welcomed. 

The conference theme: “The Future of Ageing Well, 2022 and Beyond: Inspire, Motivate, Innovate”, invites us all to question and redefine how we think and work, to open up new ways of approaching the challenges and possibilities of an ageing world. It invites us to explore how we can work differently to improve the experience of ageing through connecting research, policy and practice.  

All Thinktank, symposium, oral and poster presentation submissions should include how the presentation connects with the conference theme of “The Future of Ageing Well” and what participants will learn or gain from the presentation.
 

Notification to authors - By week ending Friday 17 June 2022
Preliminary program release - By week ending Friday 24 June 2022
Early bird registration rates close - Friday 8 July 2022
All presenters to be registered - Friday 29 July 2022

Once you have created your account for this years event, you can use the same log in for each form
(please note you will not be able to see any submitted abstracts from other categories) 

 

Notification of Acceptance
The Conference Managers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by internet service outages, hardware or software delays, power outages or unforeseen events.

Registration
The presenting author will be required to register for the conference to ensure their abstract is included in the final Program.
The deadline for presenting author registration is Friday 29 July 2022.

Reviewers 
Submissions will be “blinded” to the reviewers. Reviewers will not be able to see the authors or affiliations.
Submitters must not assume that there will be knowledge of the previous work of a group or strength of a research group or researcher.
